Bush to Beach Legal Sponsor Sunshine Coast Phoenix Basketball

Bush to Beach Legal is proud to continue our long-standing support of the Sunshine Coast Phoenix, stepping into another exciting NBL1 season as a major sponsor.

This year is extra special, with the Sunshine Coast Phoenix celebrating 10 years of basketball on the Sunshine Coast. The opening round, held at the Suncoast Clippers Stadium, was the perfect way to kick off the season and marks a decade of passion, development, and community spirit.

The men started their 2025 season with a 95–80 win over the Southern District Spartans, showing off their speed, depth, and teamwork. The women’s team fought hard in their first hit-out, finishing 69–91 against a strong Spartans team. While the scoreboard didn’t go their way, there’s plenty to be excited about with some new talent stepping into the side.

This season welcomes some exciting new faces, including Erin Bollmann in the women’s squad and star recruit Earnest Ross alongside Erik Kafritsas for the men. Both teams have worked hard in the pre-season, and the energy both on the court and in the crowd made it clear that Phoenix is set for a strong year.

A Deep Connection to Local Basketball

For Bush to Beach Legal, this partnership is about more than just a sponsorship logo. Our connection to Sunshine Coast Phoenix is personal. Luke, our principal solicitor, has been involved with the basketball club for many years, not just as a player at junior and senior level, but also as a coach for U14s, U16s, U18s and QSL teams, and a former board member.

We’ve seen first-hand the impact this club has on young players, families, and the wider basketball community. That’s why we’re proud to back them again in 2025 to help them continue growing and inspiring the next generation of players.

Committed to Community, On and Off the Court

Bush to Beach Legal has built our firm on the values of supporting locals, giving back, and staying connected to the communities we serve. That’s why our sponsorships extend well beyond basketball. We’re proud to also support:

And we actively assist local charity SEA FM’s Kicks for Kids Walk, helping vulnerable young people across the Sunshine Coast and surrounds.

We believe that sport plays a vital role in bringing people together and building strong, positive communities and we’re honoured to play a part in that.

Meet a local Sunshine Coast Photographer

All photos featured in this article were captured by the very talented Lachlan Spivey who is a local photographer and Sunshine Coast Phoenix basketballer. Lachlan is available for photo shoots, headshots, sports photography, and more. Keep an eye on this rising star behind the lens on and off the court. Check out Lachlan’s folio.

I’m Lachlan Spivey, a photographer based on the Sunshine Coast. I shoot for Sunshine Coast Phoenix, capturing the passion, intensity, and moments that define local basketball. Whether it’s fast-paced action on the court or candid behind-the-scenes shots, I aim to tell real stories through my lens. Photography, for me, is about more than images it’s about connection and emotion. Every photo is a chance to highlight the spirit of the game and the incredible people who make the Phoenix community what it is.
